Currently Binging: Favorite Podcasts

Podcasts are online, unscripted radio shows, without the annoying breaks of music. Depending on what you're looking for, podcasts can help motivate you, make you laugh, shed light on injustices and help resolve childhood issues. Podcasts are amazing to listen to if you're trying to stay current on first world issues, and current events of the world.

I personally go for podcasts that are hosted by people of color and speak on how it is to be a person of color in America. I've also listened to other podcasts that help you forget, for only a moment, the issues that you may have going on in your life. Today, you'll see a few podcasts I listen to.

Millennial Lov3

I've only recently discovered this podcast within the last couple of weeks. This award winning podcast, consists of Cara, Miche' and Justin, three millennials from the south that tackle topics like sex, love, and how they are selfish AF! Cara, from Cecile, Georgia, has taught me that it's okay to spend a certain amount of time in a career field and decide to want something different later. I'm currently in a transition of my career and she's inspired me the most. Miche', from Irving, Texas, has taught me to open up more. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable. Justin, from Lafayette, Louisiana, has taught me that you can't focus on pleasing others when your happiness is the one that matters. The three of them are hella hilarious and so outgoing. Listening to their struggles has definitely helped me understand that I'm a millennial as well and I need to get my shit together. (Sorry for cursing.) Be sure to listen to Millennial love on SoundCloud, iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher. I'll be sure to link their social handles as well so that you can stay connected.

Jessica Williams is a writer, producer, and actress that hails from Los Angeles, California. Phoebe Robinson is a stand up comedienne, writer, actress and producers. She's been named as one of the top comedians to watch. In February, they were picked up by HBO to do a four-part series. You can find past episodes on Spotify.
