Unique Spa Services You Need!
Raise your hand if you've ever been to a spa before! *looks around* Now raise your hand if you've ever had any spa service other than a massage. I can almost guarantee that number is less than the first.
In reality, most spa guests don't know of any other services besides massage and facials, which lets spa professionals, like myself know where there are avenues of opportunity. I have my regular clients that see me on a month to month schedule and I'm constantly talking them into different services. They are more than likely to book these services because they trust my word. Think of me as your plug to the spa world. *winks eye* I'll let you know other services you need to look into on your next visit to the spa.
1. Bath Soaks
I know, I know! You're probably thinking, "Why the hell would I pay to take a bath when I can bathe at home?" Unless you have access to a jetted tub everyday, then I suggest you try it out anyways, and if you do have a jetted tub, do you have someone to perform an express massage on you afterwards? Didn't think so. Most people don't have these things at their disposal. But...bath soaks care an awesome way to detox, achieve baby smooth skin and just relax with a mimosa and a bowl of fresh fruit after a long, stressful week.
2. Body Scrubs
Body brushing, salt and sugar scrubs and a healthy helping of a hydrating body cream??? Just thinking about it has me feeling smooth all over. Think smooth skin is your only benefit from a scrubs? W R O N G ! In fact, body brushing offers detoxing and lymphatic drainage. When toxins build up in our bodies, it causes us to become sick. Ridding the body of said toxins will keep us healthier. And your last benefit of course is eliminating dead surface cells from your entire body. Who doesn't want that?
3. Wraps
Body wraps come with many benefits; detox, lymphatic drainage, body sculpting. Body wraps don't just work after one service. The are better when in a package deal. Consult with your spa technician to see if their spa offers package deals.
4. Reflexology
Reflexology is defined as gentle manipulation or pressing on certain parts of the foot to produce an effect elsewhere in the body. It stimulates other parts of the body to cleanse and detox. You can get it as an add-on with most massage and facials but receiving it alone it fine also. It is said that manipulation with reflexology can improve one's health.
5. Amenities
This one isn't a "service" but, you should see what amenities the spa you're visiting has. Most luxury or high end spas offer a steam room, dry sauna, fitness center, pool access (if available,) and complimentary drinks.
Have you tried any of these services? Let me know what services you got and how you enjoyed them. I promise I won't steer you in the wrong directions.
